Recipe: Hamburger Noodle Bake

- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 2 tbsps butter
- 1 tsp garlic salt, coarse ground
- dash of pepper
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 6 scallions, chopped
- 3 oz pkg cream cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 8 oz pkg medium noodles, cooked
- 1/2 cup grated Cheddar cheese
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Brown lean ground beef; drain off fat.
- Add garlic salt, pepper, sugar and tomato sauce.
- Cook slowly for 15 to 20 minutes.
- Mix scallions with cream cheese and sour cream.
- Place 1/3 of the noodles in large casserole.
- Sprinkle with scallion mixture.
- Cover with 1/3 of the meat sauce.
- Repeat layers twice.
- Sprinkle top with grated cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes or until mixture bubbles.
