Recipe: Hawaiian Chicken
Recipes using Argo Pure Cornstarch

Step 1
- 2-3 lb cut up frying chicken
- 3 tbsps Crisco
- 1 1/2 tbsps butter or magarine
- flour
- salt and pepper to taste
- Melt Crisco and butter in frying pan.
- Flour chicken and fry until crispy brown, adding salt and pepper as desired while frying.
- Place fried chicken in roasting pan or casserole dish.
Step 2
- 1 can sliced pineapple
- 1 cup brown sugar
- maraschino cherries (if desired as garnish)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Garnish with pineapple slices and maraschino cherries; save pinapple juice.
- Sprinkle chicken and pineapple generously with brown sugar.
- Cover with foil or lid and bake for 60 minutes.
Note: Pineapple Gravy can be made by adding the following ingredients.
- Pineapple juice left in can
- 2 tbsps brown sugar
- 2 tbsps cornstarch
- salt and pepper
- water
- Add 1 tsp Crisco to frying pan.
- Add to brownings left in frying pan.
- Heat and stir constantly until desired thickness is reached.
