4 eggs, separated
1 cup sugar
1/3 cup oil
1 lb honey
3 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 cup cold coffee
chopped walnuts or slivered almonds
Beat together the egg yolks, sugar, and oil. Add the honey. Sift together the dry ingredients and spices and add to egg mixture, alternating with coffee. Fold all ingredients into beaten egg whites. Pour into greased angel food cake pan. Sprinkle nuts on top. Bake at 350° F for 1 hour.
