Recipe: Individual Beef Wellington
Recipes using Nina Chopped Garlic

- 8 5 ounce fillets of beef
- Canola oil
- 1/2 to 3/4 pounds ground sirloin
- 1/2 tsp chopped garlic
- 1 tbsp snipped parsley
- 8 frozen patty shells, thawed
- 1 slightly beaten egg white
- Freeze beef fillets for 20 minutes.
- Take out and brush with oil.
- Sear beef fillets in skillet about 5 minutes.
- Chill in refrigerator.
- Combine ground sirloin, chopped garlic and parsley.
- Divide into 8 portions.
- Place rounded portions on top of each fillet. Return to refrigerator.
- Roll out shells to 9x5" rectangles 1/8 inch thick.
- Place each steak, sirloin side down, on pastry.
- Fold pastry over fillet.
- Place seam side down in pan.
- Decorate with cutouts left from shells.
- Brush with egg white.
- Bake at 450° for about 9 minutes for medium.
Serve with a tarragon or mushroom wine sauce of your choice.
