1 lb Italian hot sausage
1 med. onion, cut in sm pieces
1 1/2 lbs. ground chuck
1/2 lb. ground pork
2 15oz cans whole tomatoes
3 6oz cans tomato paste
2 15oz small cans tomato sauce
3/4 cup water
1/4 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp parsley leaves
1 tbsp oregano leaves
1 tbsp fennel seed
1 tbsp rosemary leaves
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp brown sugar
1. Cut sausage into small bit size pieces and brown in a large non-stick sauce pan. Remove sausage from pot. Remove all but 1 tbsp drippings.
2. Add onion to pan, and cook for 2-3 minutes. Then add ground chuck and ground pork. Cook 10 minutes or until meat is browned.
3. Add sausage, whole tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, and water. Mix throughly.
4. Add garlic powder, parsley, oregano, fennel seed, rosemary, grated cheese and sugar. Mix throughly.
5. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Lower heat to a simmer, and cook uncovered for 2 hours. Add water if needed.
Serve with pasta and garlic bread.
