Knot Rolls Ingredients

• 1/4 cup warm water
• 2 1/4 tsp dry yeast
• 1 cup scalded milk (cool)
• 4 tbsp sugar
• 4 tbsp butter, softened
• 1 tsp salt
• 1 beaten egg
• 4 cups flour

To Make Knot Rolls

1. Soften yeast in water. Add all other ingredients. Mix and knead well.
2. Let rise until double in bulk.
3. Roll dough on lightly floured surface to 1/2 inch thick.
4. Cut in strips. Tie in a knot, tucking ends under.
5. Place on greased cookie sheet. Allow to rise until light.
6. Bake at 350° F. degrees for 20 to 30 minutes.
7. Brush with melted butter immediately after removing from oven.
