Light and Easy Biscuit Ingredients
- 3 cups unbleached flour
- 4 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 1 cup milk
To make Light and Easy Biscuits
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- In a bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and salt.
- Cut* in crisco until mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
- Add milk, and stir until blended.
- Transfer dough to a lighltly floured board.
- Knead lightly 8 to 10 times.
- Roll dough into a 9" square.
- Place dough to fit bottom of an ungreased 9x9 square pan.
- Cut dough into 2x2 squares.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes. Biscuits will separate at the cut lines.
*Cut crisco in with a pastry blender.
