Ingredients in Mushroom Hors D’oeuvres
- 2 large packages cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 pound butter or margarine
- 16 ounces mushroom pieces and stems
- 1/4 cup dehydrated minced onion
- bread squares or round (toasted on one side only)
To Make Mushroom Hors D’oeuvres
- Preheat oven to 400°
- Beat softened cream cheese until fluffy.
- Melt butter or margarine.
- Add onions and mushrooms.
- Sauté until mushrooms are soft.
- Add onions and mushrooms to cream cheese mixture and mix together.
- Refrigerate mixture.
- When mixture is cool, put on (untoasted) softened side of bread, spreading mixture edge to edge.
- Put bread on cookie sheet and freeze.
- Bag and keep on hand until needed.
- Bake at 400° on a cookie sheet until brown.
Recipe makes 60 to 70 servings of Mushroom Hors D’oeuvres
