1 box (16-oz) fine egg noodles
1 large onion, chopped
1/4 cup canola oil
1 cup mushrooms, sliced
3 eggs
2 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp white pepper
pinch sugar
Cook fine noodles, drain and put in large mixing bowl. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Saute onion in oil until transparent. Stir fry mushrooms. Add onions and mushrooms to noodle mixture. Add spices and season to taste. Oil 9" x 13" pan and fill with noodle mixture. Bake in a 375° F oven for approximately 1 hour until top is golden and crusty. Cut into 2" squares and serve hot with meat or chicken. This is a Jewish delicacy. Serve either as a side dish or an appetizer.
