- 1 whole chicken, cut up
- 3 tbsps canola oil
- 1/4 cup dry chopped onions
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 heaping tbsps brown sugar
- 1 tbsp Worestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup water
- 3 tsps vinegar
- 1/2 tbsp prepared mustard
- 1 can tomato sauce
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Pour oil in frying skillet and heat.
- Place chicken pieces in hot oil in skillet and brown on both sides.
- Remove chicken from skillet and place in roasting pan.
- Mix all sauce ingredients together and pour in skillet.
- Simmer sauce for 30 mins.
- Pour sauce over chicken and cover roasting pan.
- Bake for 1 hr or until tender and thoroughly cooked.
