Recipe: Overnight Bread

Overnight Bread Ingredients
- 1 tsp dry yeast
- 3 cups warm water
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 tbsp sea salt
- 8 cups flour
To make Overnight Bread
- Soften yeast in warm water (85° F.) mixed with 1 tsp sugar about 10 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients in order given.
- It's best to start this recipe at 5 pm and punch down every hour until 10 pm.
- Shape into bread or rolls at 10pm.
- Cover and let rise at room temperature overnight.
- Bake the next morning.
- Makes 20 to 25 rolls or 2 loaves plus 2 pans of sweet rolls, or 4 pans of sweet rolls.
- Bake sweet rolls at 375° F. for 25 to 30 minutes. Bake bread rolls at 400° F. 12 to 20 minutes.
