Ingredients in Peanut Butter Fudge
- 2 squares bitter chocolate
- 2/3 cups whole milk
- 2 cups sugar
- Dash salt
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
To make Peanut Butter Fudge
- Add chocolate to milk and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until mixture is smooth and blended.
- Add sugar and salt; stir until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils.
- Cook without stirring until a small amount of the mixture forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water (236° F.).
- Remove from heat; add peanut butter and vanilla without stirring.
- Cool to lukewarm (110° F.), then beat until creamy.
- Turn immediately into greased pan.
- When the Peanut Butter Fudge is firm, cut into 1 inch squares.
This recipe makes about 18 large pieces of Peanut Butter Fudge.
