Ingredients in Peanut Butter Fudge I
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 tbsp white Karo syrup
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- pinch of salt
- 1/3 peanut butter
- 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
To make Peanut Butter Fudge I
- Combine sugar, Karo syrup, milk, and salt in a saucepan.
- Cook on high heat, stirring often, until mix reaches soft ball stage*
- Set aside and let cool until pan is comfortable to touch.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla.
- Beat hard until candy loses its shine and starts to thicken.
- Pour into a buttered 7x7 inch square pan.
- Let the pan set until firm, then cut intil 2x2 squares.
*This recipe for Peanut Butter Fudge requires a candy thermometer.
