Recipe: Pecan Pie

- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup dark corn syrup
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 1/2 cup whole pecans
- 9" pie crust
- Beat eggs lightly. Add sugar, corn syrup, cinnamon, vanilla, flour, and salt.
- Mix lightly with wooden spoon.
- Add melted and cool butter and stir.
- Pour pecans on unbaked pie shell. Pecans will rise to the top of the pecan pie after you add the filling.
- Pour the filling over pecans.
- Bake pecan pie at 350° F. for about 45 minutes or until filling is set. You may cover edges of pecan pie shell all around to avoid crust getting too brown and remove the foil the last 10 minutes of cooking.)
