2 cups brown sugar
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup melted butter
1 cup broken pecan nuts
1 cup unbleached King Arthur or Pillsbury All Purpose flour
Coating:
1/2 cup confectioners sugar.
1. Preheat oven to 260 degrees.
2. Mix brown sugar, vanilla, and butter together.
3. Add flour, a little at a time, mixing between additions.
4. Add pecans, and mix well.
5. Pour batter into a 9x9 backing pan.
6. Bake 1 hour.
7. Allow to cool. Cut into squares or bars.
8. Roll in powdered confectioners sugar.
