Ingredients in Pumpkin Custard
- 2 cups cooked pumpkin
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tbsp brandy
- 1 1/2 tsps cinnamon
- 1 1/2 tsps ginger
- 1/2 tsp salt
- dash nutmeg
- 3 eggs, well beaten
- 2 cups heavy cream
To make Pumpkin Custard
- Preheat oven to 325° F.
- Stir all together thoroughly except eggs and cream, then mix them in.
- Pour into a buttered 1 1/2 qt baking dish, place in pan of hot water and bake for 50-55 minutes, or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
- Remove from oven, cool then chill.
- Slide knife around edge to loosen custard, then unmold onto serving dish.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream
