6 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 pkg (1 tbsp) dry yeast
3/4 cup vegetable shortening (Crisco)
3 cups warm water
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Grease a 12 cup muffin pan.
3. In a mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar and yeast.
4. Cut shortening in flour mixture.
5. Add water and mix well.
6. Dough will be sticky. Dip out with spoon into greased muffin tins.
5. Bake 25 minutes.
Makes about 36 rolls.
You may store batter in a sealed containing in refrigerator up to a week.
