1/4 cup butter
3 tbsp flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp McCormick Pepper
1 3/4 cups milk
4 or 5 medium potatoes
McCormick Paprika
1. Peel and slice potatoes approx 1/4 inch thick
2. Microwave butter in 2 qt casserole dish at high until melted approx 45 secs to 1 min
3. Stir in flour, salt, and pepper
4. Blend in milk to butter mixture
5. Microwave mixture at high until thickened approx 5 to 7 mins stirring every other minute
6. Put sliced potatoes into casserole dish and mix
7. Cover casserole dish and microwave at high until potatoes are tender approx 15 to 20 mins stirring every 2 to 3 minutes
8. Garnish with a sprinkle of paprika
Variation: Add 3/4 to 1 cup grated cheddar cheese to heated sauce stir until melted.
