Jasmine Rice from Thailand is commonly known as fragrant rice, scented rice or aromatic rice. The official name of the highest grade rice is "THAI HOM MALI" Rice. Cooking Instructions for Jasmine Rice
One cup of raw rice will make about 3 cups of cooked Jasmine rice.

1. Place 1 cup of Jasmine rice in a sauce pan.
2. Add 1 1/2 cups of cool water.
3. Bring pot to a boil over high heat.
4. Reduce heat, cover tightly, and simmer for 18 - 20 minutes.
5. Remove from heat, and let cooked Jasmine Rice stand in covered saucepan for 10 minutes.  Fluff with fork and serve.

Makes about four 3/4 cup servings of cooked Jasmine rice.
