1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup sugar
2 cups unbleached flour
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground allspice
3 tsp baking powder
3/4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
12 tbsp Hershey's Cocoa
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Cream together butter, and sugar.
3. Add 1/2 of milk, and mix.
4. Combine salt, baking powder and flour, and add to creamed butter a little at a time while mixing.
5. Add remaining milk, and vanilla. Fold in egg whites.
6. Divide batter equally into two portions.
7. In one portion, add seasonings and Hershey's Cocoa. Mix well.
8. Fill a greased loaf pan with batter by alternately adding by the spoonful the white batter, and then the chocolate batter.
9. Bake for 40-45 minutes.
10. Cover with fudge frosting.
