Make a batter with flour, salt, baking powder, egg and milk. Beat well. Leave for an hour covered with a cloth. Add more milk if too thick. Beat again. Skin sausages, if necessary, shaping meat into 2" sausages. Heat margarine in 11" x 8" pan until smoking hot. Pour in batter and drop the sausages gently in a regular pattern. Bake for 35 minutes at 400° - 450° F oven until batter is set. Serve with a green vegetable, traditionally spinach, but others are as good.
