Recipe: Tomato Sauce with Meatballs

Meatballs
- 2 lb chopped chuck
- garlic powder to taste
- salt and pepper to taste
- 5 eggs
- 1/3 cup seasoned bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- olive oil or canola oil
Tomato Sauce
- 1 large can plum tomatoes plus 1/2 can water
- 1 6 oz can tomato paste
- 1 10 oz can tomato puree
- 3 small heads diced garlic cloves
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tbsp oregano
- parsley flakes to taste
- Mix first 7 ingredients.
- Make into meatballs (golf ball size) and brown in a skillet with little bit of oil.
- Brown chopped garlic with meatballs.
- In large saucepan combine all tomato sauce ingredients, mix well.
- Add browned meatballs to tomato sauce.
- Simmer sauce and meatballs for approx 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
- Half way through cooking time taste for seasoning and adjust accordingly.
Serve over cooked spaghetti noodles or other type of cooked pasta.
