I miss my mom's chicken divan. It was so terrific and even though I use the same recipe, I can't seem to get it to taste the same. I have not been able to figure out what I'm doing wrong.
Remember Jell-O 1-2-3? Those parfait type things with the three distinct layers? Of course they never were quite as distinct as on the package.
Then jello cake which used to be popular and I miss. My Mom used to make a lot of the "floating island" deserts too. Marble cake was very popular also.
I miss banana cue with lots of melted brown sugar yummmm, my husband and I used to go to this market and buy banana cue every 3 pm. Sad he's not here now
