I took my brother to the store a few days ago and he has emphysema really bad.
He was coughing pretty bad and one woman whispered to her friend to run the other way he had swine flu. On the bright side that is a way to clear out a long line right now lol.

Yeah the girls in my office were spraying Lysol everywhere when someone came in with a cough! And they use so much hand-sanitizer I don't know how they have any skin left on their hands!!! I am not one to use that stuff it is too drying to my skin, and I believe breathing all that Lysol can not be good for you. And even with all their shenanigans I still got this cold:( I tell you people can sure get worked up!!!!

The hand sanitizers work because of that rapid drying effect. The product must be a minimum 62% alcohol and the rapid evaporation on the skin causes germs to dehydrate and die. Very effective but you also have to make sure it touches everywhere and most people forget under the fingernails....including many healthcare workers.

Here's a simple recipe to make your own in case you are in short supply:

HAND SANITIZER
* 5 cups 91% Isopropyl Alcohol
* 2 cups 100% pure Aloe Gel
Start by measuring out your Aloe into a mixing bowl. Add in your alcohol. Mix at high speed for several minutes, the solution will begin to gel. The aeration of the mixture is extremely important to getting the consistency correct. You should she bubbles all throughout the mixture. The end mixture is thicker than water, but not extremely thick. Once you’ve gotten the mixture to gel and achieve a constant consistency, you can pour it into containers for storage and use.

Wow that would be a heck of a savings over buying the stuff already made and bottled! I will let me girls at work know how to make it, they use enough!

I think the Aloe Gel is better than some of the stuff used in the commercial varieties. Go to the drugstore for the 91% stuff. Other stores generally only carry 70% or so.
