What did you have for dinner last night?

It was good. This was our first time trying to make them. They came out really good and juicy.

Last night we had turkey hot dogs in crescent rolls with bacon and cheese wrapped around the hot dog, leftover potato salad and corn on the cob.

We had chicken breasts with stuffing stuffed in the middle, salad and corn for dinner last night. It was really good.

hubby had cereal and I had a baked potato last night.

Tonight we're having stew meat that's been cooked in the crockpot all day with crushed tomatoes. I'll serve it over rice and probably have some squash on the side.

We're probably going out tonight; DH has been out of town and gets in in a couple of hours.

Last night I had carnitas. yum.

I think I might make ziti tonight. It's quick and makes for lots of leftovers.

Oh, I love ziti, and it freezes great. Usually when I do a ziti bake I freeze the leftovers and then we eat them again in a few weeks.

Tonight we're gathering with friends for fajitas. Last night we just went to Chili's and I had the guiltless chicken sandwich.

I'm ashamed to admit it but we broke down and ate carry-out pizza. We're not really pizza people, but sometimes when time is short it does fit the need. And it always tastes good ... just has lots of fat which we try to avoid. But on occasion, I suppose it's ok.

We had homemade stew made with leftover pot roast. put just about everything in it. Almost put the dang kitchen sink in it! LOL! It was good (FILLING)

last night was homemade meatsauce, buccatini, green salad and Italian bread - what else would ou expect from an Italian home?? LOL

tonight it's homemade fish frys! breaded haddock, fries, onion rings, tuna balls, macaroni and potato salad plus coleslaw - dont' forget the warm rye bread and butter!! tartar sauce and lemon wedges

LOL mama mangia. Tonight homemade chicken noodle soup with Italian bread. Very light as it is very hot! Can't get too elaborate yet as sister is just coming home after surgery. So will get back to ya on this thread

Monday night we had Grilled chicken breasts, smokey cheddar potatoes, and Fresh green beans satueed in butter thyme salt and pepper
last night we had home made creamy tomato basil soup with grilled cheese sandwiches

Paprika chicken with sour cream gravy, sauteed aspragus, And a rice side.

We're having Baby Back Ribs cooked at home cooked on our new smoker. See the thread I posted in smokers about the smoker.

I have to say I'm impressed with the smoker so far.

Old Bay NUMMY! those sound NUMMY! I can't wait to get one.

We are having Pulled pork sandwiches, tomorrow night. made at home also. Gonna turn my sisters grill into a smoker. LOL! I am injecting the butt today with applejuice infused with the barbecue rub and then gonn rub it down and get it in the fridge overnight. Then will smoke/cook it off tomorrow over low heat, 175 to 200 I know it is a bit too high but its the best I can do.

We "cheated" last night and made French Dip Sandwiches. They're so easy to make using deli sliced roast beef, are tasty, and if you use the McCormick Au Jus mix instead of pan drippings, are low in fat. We heat the beef in the Au Jus then serve it on a submarine/hogie roll with gravy on the side to dip the sandwich in. We used to fry potatoes, but for the last year we've baked tator tots and french fries instead to keep the fat down.

What about tonight?

It's August here. Fresh tomatoes. Lettuce. Bread. Bacon. It's time for BLTs! That's what we're having tonight along with a nice garden salad with cucumbers and tomatoes from the local farmer's stand.

Last night was chicken & mushroom stew marsala, served over rice. A simple tossed salad and home-made bread completed the meal.

Tonight will be charlotte of potatoes & scampi, with an herbed tomato sauce, surrounded by nutmeg-glazed rutabaga, and a Cesear salad.

It was one of those busy days - I had so much to do - sure ain't easy being in charge of everything - LOL - and of course it was one of those days where you're hungry and you're not - too much heat. So I cheated completely - pulled out my steam pots and boiled my water; added (frozen) polish sausage and let that cook until it was just about "getting there" - then I tossed in quartered scrubbed taters, baby carrots, and quartered onions. Made a quick white sauce to drizzle over the veggies. Steamed sausage is actually really good - I've done it with Italian and polish and brats. Basically a simple one pot meal!
