What did you have for dinner last night?

Last night we had Jamaican jerk shrimp, mashed potatoes, and green beans.

Tonight will be king ranch casserole.

Well, I lied, tonight we were lazy and picked up some hot wings. They're 35 cents each today, after all.

I'll do the king ranch casserole tomorrow.

It's summertime. It's Tuesday. What else would be right? Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato sandwiches on whole wheat toast made with fresh tomatoes from the garden. Heaven! Maybe I need to eat two. I like to make them with center cut bacon so you avoid 1/2 the fat of regular bacon.

Ooh jamaican jerk shrimp. That sounds so good. I had that once at a jamaican restaurant.

I tried a new recipe: Feta Chicken Pasta. I thought it would be really good but eh, the feta was not working for me tonight.

Hey, great thread! I enjoy hearing what everyone else has for dinner. But you would expect that from someone who enjoys peering in other people's fridges and carts at the grocery store.

But! I digress. For dinner I made a caulflower frittata and a mixed green salad with Thai dressing. :) Fresh strawberries followed.

So why then, was I hungry an hours later? LOL ;)

Well, tonight I had some good ol' Hamburger Helper. It was great. I love it for a quick meal with little effort.

Last night we had creamy ham casserole. Not sure about tonight yet, it might be a good night to grill. Except of course that it's supposed to be about 105 degrees.

last night we had italian sausage and sauteed veggies (peppers, onions, mushrooms) with penne.

Hamburger helper is wonderful. My favorite kind is the cheeseburger one. I forget the exact name but it has macaroni noodles in it. I always buy two boxes for one dinner. It is so fast and easy

Last night we had mutton curry for dinner, with rotis. ( a kind of indian bread)

I found a great recipe in my new Cooking Light for shrimp fried rice. I may make that tonight.

Actually, this month's cooking light seems better than usual, so we'll probably be eating quite a few meals out of it.

Mrs. Chipotle! Could you share that if you have a moment? I love fried rice recipes, particularly with seafood. I used to subscribe to CL but let it lapse. Perhaps it's time to renew. Several of you have mentioned some great sounding recipes from the mag.

TIA,

WB :)

Tonight was simple but tasty: Sauteed shrimp with lemon pepper, wild rice, and fried zucchini.

Just had fried porkchop and fried chicken and rice. And some cucumber in vinegar and sugar and salt. And chocolate for dessert.

Last night I had mutton arvi curruy. ( Arvi is an Indian vegetable)
So it was an mutton+veg curry.

I made bbq boneless beef ribs, and homemade tater chips, corn on the cob and garlic bread, can ya tell my son started school yesterday? LOL. Welcome back to time for cooking.

Grilled burgers and corn yumm that sounds good. We had leftovers last night. I was so tired for some reason. I m not sure what we will have tonight. Maybe fish.

My husband took the day off today. And to my surprise, he made a pork butt on the grill, chopped it fine, and so we had pork barbecue sandwiches with coleslaw, and potato salad. The barbecue sauce he used was Sweet Baby Ray's, which we had because it was recommended here on the forum.

Cincinnati Four-way turkey chili over macaroni. It was so good, there aren't any leftovers! Yay (but boo...it was goooood).
