Wonderful story, PampPara! :)

And glad my experience appealed to you, too!

Share more about your cookbook-writing experience, if you will... we'd love to hear about it!

I'd be happy to share more about this whole experience. It has been a rollercoaster...sometimes good, sometimes frustrating. I actually have to head back to work and I'm sure my post will take a little time...I can get really long winded. :) I promise to revisit this post either later today or tomorrow. In the meantime, if you'd like to check out my website you can read more about how this whole idea came about. Just an FYI, though, my cookbook was written so my husband would have a reason to open a cookbook. It is classy, but it does contain nudes...so if you are opposed to nudes or under age, this website isn't for you. thepamperedparamour.com. On the Vintage Delights page you can read more about the column I write and my vintage food blog. I hope you like her! Back soon...

I saw an advertisment for the Food Networks new channel called the Cooking Channel. I googled it because they had advertised one show in particular about Italian food that interested me. The hosts name is David Rocco and the show is called Dolve Vita. You can watch episodes of the show on You Tube which I did. I wasnt horribly impressed with the show and the music in the show annoyed me but he does have some interesting recipes. I plan to order the cookbook from the show which I found on Amazon for around $20

PampParamour, I am interested in knowing your story because I too have recently completed a cookbook that I actually hope to have published soon! (If the place I've sent it too feels it's worthy!) And yes- I too have experienced many frustrations in the form of wrong turns, road-blocks, dead-ends, cumbersome corners and other limiting side-swipes! But my hope is these discouragments will pay-off well in the end and make the struggle even more worth the pain and sacrifices!

I am thrilled to check out your website- nudity doesn't bother me on any level- so I'll look forward to seeing it once I'm back home from work in the morning and using my own computer. Actually- now I am quite intrigued! Though not to worry about me ogling the nudes- I lean the "other way"! (Actually, "lean" isn't the correct word at all!) :):):)

Janie- this book is now on my own list to watch too- as soon as used copies fall a bit more in price, I'll pick it up, fer shure. The guy's absolutely ADORABLE too! Hell- even if he can't cook- as long as there are plenty of gratutitous pics of him- I'll be a happy camper! :)
