Holiday Videos There are also some other interesting recipes and tips on that site.

Looks like our grand daughter will be born on Dec 1st. The doctor has decided if she doesn't come sooner, mom will be induced. So perhaps we'll have our Thanksgiving day as planned :)

Well I got some of my brothers meal done today. He is picking it up at noon tomorrow. I still have to make several things but I got the bulk of it done today. I brined his turkey then used a compound butter between the skin and breast made of butter of course and roasted garlic, thyme, sage and herbs de provence. I stuffed the bird with garlic, onions and parsley. I rubbed the outside with olive oil, herbs de provence, salt and pepper. I baked it for 2 1/2 hours wrapped in foil then the last hour I baked it uncovered to get some color.

I took the easy road with the cake. It is just a box mix devils food with chocolate icing. I sprinkled mini chocolate chips on top.

His little ham was only like 9 pounds so I cut it off the bone when it was done so I could fit it into a disposable pan.
Tomorrow I plan to make homemade yeast rolls, mashed potatoes, roasted turnips and deviled eggs for him.

Today I got the ham, turkey, dressing, gravy & cake finished.

For us on Thursday I am making duck with orange glaze, yeast rolls, mac and cheese, roasted new potatoes, oyster dressing and salad. For dessert I am making all chocolate boston cream pie. As far as I know my father in law is going to his other sons for dinner. Jon and I will probably go down and have coffee with him whe he gets back late Thursday evening.

Thanks Shelley.
I went ahead and made my orange glazed duck today. We will have it tomorrow. It looked so pretty I had to take a picture.

Well I had to get milk, lettuce and tomatoes in the house for tomorrow. I really did not want to leave the house - but I left very early - paid my UHaul rent, paid my cell phone and land phone, got my milk, picked up some movies and grabbed a couple bottles of soda and some Fritos, and a big jar of popcorn - now I can hibernate till Monday and pay movie theater!

And I still feel like crap. Just about everyone I saw today was either hacking or blowing their noses, and even wiping the cart handle with the sanitary wipes doesn't help. Guess I just doomed.

Mama Im so sorry your not feeling an better.

I carved the duck up and put it in the fridge til tomorrow. Im gonna take the back/carcass to Jon's Dad along with some bones from the ham and turkey. He has been feeding a stray dog who will probably like them.

Thank you jglass -

it's just locked in my head and making me miserable - plus from the injuries from the accident the pains are excruciating - any head cold, windy conditions, etc. and this is what happens -
