I know, I should just eat it all at once, but they are soooooo very fatty.

Poly and Monounsaturated fat.. thats the good stuff. When I used to BodyBuild my joints suffered when I dropped my daily fat intake to something like 56 grams per day. I tried Glucosamine tablets but found that increasing my fat intake with Nuts, Salmon, Avocados and Olive Oil worked alot better. Don't be afraid of Avocados they are your friend..plus they have alot more vitamins than cheesecake.:p

Avocados are one of my favorite foods. Luckily I live on the California Central Coast were Avocados are grown. Your not going to have any success storing a half avocado for longer than a day. Leave the seed in, and when you see the flesh turn brown, rest assured that just a scrape below the brown is that lovely green that we savored the night before.

Oh, it is good to hear that about keeping the pit in the uneaten half...I felt like I remembered hearing that years ago, so I tried it and it still turned brown almost immediately.

Underneath the brown was it normal looking?

Oh oh oh.. try this, put the half with the seed in a ziplock sandwich bag and toss in the fridge for the next day. I do this weekly so I know there really shouldn't be any problems.

No, it was brown straight down to the rind-y thing. I will definitely try the ziploc bag thing, though. THANKS!
