Ingredients:

3/4 C sifted flour
2 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/3 C milk


Directions:

Sift flour, baking powder and salt together. Beat egg. Add milk to egg and mix with dry ingredients. Drop by spoonsful into boiling gravey or stock or onto soup or stew and cook for 15 minutes.

Do not remove cover while dumplings are cooking. If the steam escapes, they will not be light!
