It is hard to find time for all these wonderful things I enjoy, and keeping that garden growing and making time to just relax and unwind.
I decided awhile back to retire from all of my volunteer organizations to deal with the new directions I'm heading. Final one was last night as CFO of a charitable organization, submitting my final end of year reports. Seems strange but relaxing.

Why if global warming is occuring at such a fast rate do we still have such beautifully cool weather in July
One of nice gifts we have on this planet because of how our weather conditions are created. Having a planet that is "tilted" unnaturally, with kind of a wobble to it, also helps in the process.

Just wait until the movie comes out titled something like "When The Earth Stood Still". Makes one wonder where they come up with these ideas. Hint. Hint.

Then I hope as these events unfold that the Scientists [being human as we all are] and who do not have all the answers either are wondering some of the same things.
Or knowing and not allowed to talk about it. Several people have tried to release information and have disappeared mysteriously. A little unnerving to community of people trying to get information out to those that want it.

The astronomical events are very interesting and tend to fascinate me to no end.
I agree and I wish I could have had such information back in school. It might have made more sense. The origins of our planet, our moon, the asteroid belt, and even the "canals" on Mars are now pretty well confirmed. The Mars condition was duplicated in a scientific simulator and startled scientists apparently at how accurate the results were. Samples from the Asteroid belt need to be obtained to prove another. All fascinating stuff.

Even more fascinating perhaps is when you are forced in to the biblical issues. Scientists too and that is really frustrating for them to admit (as proven) that the Bible may be the most accurate factual document ever written (and written solely for this cycle of mankind) and documented prophecies (Book of Revelation). Unfortunately you cannot use the "easy reading" versions of the Bible. Most old writings are heavily symbolic and coded (for valid reasons of the times), so much so that some prophecies aren't understood until after the fact. Nostradamus is a famous example of this. The Bible is the same.

Ancient biblical texts were uncovered in modern times and with that came the knowledge that there are other "books" of the Bible that were missing from that which was provided by the Roman Catholic church. The most interesting to me is the "Book of Enoch" that contains the full story of Adam, Eve, Garden of Eve and our Creators. Only recommended for the most open of minds and have unanswered questions.

By the way do you own a telescope?
Unfortunately the one I used to have was sold on eBay a few years ago to raise money. Besides, living in smoggy Los Angeles is not conducive to that hobby and no time to travel to the observatory.

Both Microsoft and Google have space observation programs that are phenomenal, but sadly both have been "altered" to blank out a specific location in space in our Southern Hemisphere. The Microsoft version did a fairly good hiding job and is noticeable only if one is specifically looking. The Google one is more sloppy, as if they really didn't want to do it. Yay for Google. The guy that originally posted this disclosure has disappeared, along with his video.

Nothing dull in life.

You're right about "nothing dull in life" aint' that a fact!!! Yes, I can see how LA backyard viewing would be unhear of, and it would be a wonder if the typical average citizen could ever get to "really observe" thru the one at the Griffith Observatory!

I am sure we (average citizens) are privy to only limited knowledge, as you stated so well in another post folks would "freak out" (my terminolgy for what you said) if they knew the "rest of the story" so to speak. I mean just look at the point KYH made in how there has been little to no coverage on the valcano eruption in Alaska. My opinion is that the media "spoon feeds" us anyway, and it is limited reporting at best!

And just by coiencidence I have read the Book Of Enoch [a long time ago] it as well as a few others (I have an Uncle that is a retired Episcopal priest) and he let me know about alot of religious writings that I found to be very interesting reads for sure! I find it is all fascinating. And since you mention it I think I would like to read it again as an adult and with a little more of life experiences and knowledge under my belt! Many things I read when I was younger and then read now have such a different effect on me now.

This is just my opinion: I believe religion and science and many "teachings" are all fine and wonderful and have their place in the whole scheme of life. Where as FAITH is a personal rather beautiful gift, and that is to me a wonder in and of itself, and really not open for discussion like most every thing else, one either has faith or they haven't. I try not to confuse it with all the other learning & "stuff" because then I can get confused, and I like to keep it simple and uncomplicated! But that's just me and I know not everyone else is just like me! I like to think that we can enjoy everything that is ours for the taking and leave all the rest of the really IMPORTANT stuff to our heavenly Father as he has the power to manage it quite well w/out my help or interference!

I figure when the sun self-implodes it'll be quick and rather pain-less and we'll never know exactely what happened in that instant, just BAM and it will be all over in nano or milliseconds, and just to think it may be eons before that rather cosmic event transpires or why it could be tomorrow, and that's the kind of stuff I like to not really worry myself over, but still love to read about! It's just so interesting, and I am glad others find it interesting enough to devote their entire life and studies to. Just like some devote their lives to cooking! Life is so Grand!!!
