Actually Mama, the vending wasn't as good as I had hoped. We had a lot of food left over. But we did make a profit after all our expenses. There was one other vendor and I know I made more sales than him. I think the heat killed a lot of appetites and the economy isn't helping things either. Thankfully we have a food saver vacuum sealer. So aside from the beans we were able to save every thing.

The catering job went perfectly. People came back for 2nd's and 3rds. Plus the company gave us a big tip on top of the bill. :D They want to use us again and that is the best I had hoped for.

It's none of my business - but you froze some extras - what if you were to take those and re-heat them for a kids carnival or a small group in the area - maybe a small vets gathering or something. I don't know how much is left - but maybe for a small group you may be able to drum up a bit more business - or a community paper can pick up what you did and advertise it for you. That may bring more business as well. Just a thought.
