So, Sister Chatty, is your new avatar one of your own?

Y'all probably don't know this (I didn't until this past weekend), but Cathy is a really good watercolorist.

As nice as her new avatar is, however, it's not as good as the still life she gifted me with. A basket of tomatoes on a rustic table out in a garden.

What makes it better? It's mine!

In light of that, Cathy, you might like to know that there will be an heirlooms seed swap & meet & greet the first Saturday in October at the Sustainable Mountain Agriculture Center.

That's where AHSC used to hold it's conferences before it was disbanded. Several former members had petitioned Bill to hold a less formal, one-day meeting so heirlooms enthusiasts from Appalachia could still get together in the fall.

SMAC is located in Berea, which is the town between Mt Vernon and Richmond.
