Snow!

I don't mind the snow too much as long as I don't have to drive around in it but I am reaching the end of my tether. I like to be outside. I will hike around as long as the temp is 30 or above. When it gets like this where the temperature is 20 or below for a month at a time I start to get stir crazy and really CRANKY!

Just snapped this pic of the back deck. That snowbank on the right is much of the snow the kids have shoveled off the deck this season. It goes all the way to the ground there so is probably about 8 feet high. At one point I had them throw a bunch of it out into the yard but it is practically unmanageable now.
You can see the snow bank on the left center there. That is about a 6 foot drop there at the end of the deck. In December the snow was not nearly that high. See this pic from an earlier thread:

My deck looks like that - except mine is a second floor deck! It snowed 18 hours straight - finally stopped late last night, and it's snowing again. By Monday they say a bigger storm is coming.

Yeah I saw they are giving more snow for Monday.
We got lucky and the second hit of ours went around us at the last minute.
Jon and I went down to his Dad's today and got to the store. It is slippery as heck on secondary roards and parking lots are pretty bad. I had to crack the ice off the car.

Mind you, these snowbanks you see there, are from two 9 year olds shoveling all winter. If you saw the snowbank by the garage you would shake your head. The kids can go to the top of the bank and step off it and have about a foot drop to the garage roof. It is so crazy this year. I checked the weather channel website today, and for the next 7 days, it shows snow snow snow here..

Today - 1 - 3 inches - yeah right! It's a total whiteout - shoveled 6 inches early this morning - there's over 8 out there now - and it just ain't stoppin'!

CanMan you're a trip! If only................but I never could tolerate living on the West Coast too far away from my family out her in the East! But thanks for the lovely reminder of what we are missing!

I was listening to our local radio station and they were advertising a generator someone wanted to sell for $475.00. Jons stepdad had mentioned getting one so I looked up what the generator went for new because the add listed the name and said it was still in the box. Some jerk was trying to take advantage of people! That generator went for $129.00 brand new. How nice of someone to try and gouge people who are still without power.

Well guys it is pouring snow here again. This storm didnt go around us after all.
Traffic is blissfully quiet except for the occasional snow plow/salt truck going by.
Supposed to get 5-6 inches by morning.
Jon and I went out today and got a few things to get us by til this passes.
It is so funny but in this town when they give snow every gallon of milk, loaf of bread and dozen of eggs disappear off the shelf.
