Snow!

Yeah I was glad to hear they were doing that for people. I got lucky and didnt loose my electric but so many other people were without for a long time. My FIL & MIL live about 5 miles from here and they were without electric from Sat-Thur and some friends were out days longer than that.
Jon always has the same line...whats the big deal he asks? Uh its dark in here Jon...I say and he goes uh yeah well it always is for me. Same old joke.

Relief finally! It's been in the upper 50s all weekend. I've been running around outside in the mudd. It's so nice to be outside!

It was in the lower 40's here this weekend, felt like a new day was dawning. :) Unfortunately, I spent a good portion of that time shoveling off the roof or other such snow activities. :(

It hasn't quite sprung here yet. I don't even have my crocus yet. I won't see them till March but we are supposed to get rain the next two days instead of snow. I'll take it. My car needs a cleaning anyway!

We got rain and 60 here. Im glad for the rain. Maybe it will get rid of the rest of the dirty snow piles.

We were supposed to hit record 50's/60's and have thunderstorms and wind all week. It has been 50-ish (WONDERFUL!) but the rains only just started- finally! (I love rain!) I can't wait to get off in 2 hours from my graveyard shift, drive home in the downpour, and snuggle-up under my blankie & quilt w/ my two kitties to the sounds of the wind whippin' the rain against the side of my building all day long! I love gettin' all cozy & comfy with my furry critters in this kind of weather... And they luv it too (Or at least they just submit quietly, knowin' full well they ain't got a choice in the matter... Hee-Hee!)

You are lucky cats love to sleep away the day! They are easy, dogs on the other hand would want to play all day, at least until they get old, then they revert to a cat like state of wanting to sleep all day!

I love the rain too! I woke up last night to the rain pouring on my roof and it was music to my ears. I even like to play in the rain when the weather is warmer. :)

Yes, it rained today and got up to almost 50. I shaved the beard today too! I think we probably lost 3-4 inches of snow, but it is really foggy here now lol..

It rained all day today in Chicago and it was crisp and there was diffidently a chill. I didn't even bother to dry my hair-or blow dry it or straighten it. Just wore it natural, curly that is. Cookie :)

My goodness the WIND! Last night I thought our house was being taken off to OZ! We slept in the basement because the huge trees around our house where shaking so violently we were afraid they would fall on the house. Luckily this morning the only damage was lots of fallen branches to clean up. Our heavy metal and glass table that stays outside was turned upside down.

We got some crazy winds last night and they gave a tornado watch til 8pm. Jon and I went to Sams Club over on the OH side which is about 40 miles there and 40 back for me. The wind was blowing the car so bad it was hard to hold the car on the road and I came up on one tree across the road. Everything under the sun was in the roads from roofing/siding to garbage cans. We really should have stayed in.
I did get some nice things at Sams. They had 10 pounds of yukon gold potatoes for $4.19 Here is town you pay that for 3 pounds of them. Jon got me some Valentines candy and I loaded up on spring mix salad, baby spinach, olive oil, garlic and cherry/grape tomatoes. I stopped at Walmart and got some fresh basil. I think some bruschetta sounds good for today. Im going to get some sort of Italian cheese today for a spinach pasta dish I want to make. I also picked up capers for a puttanesca recipe I want to try. I def have a taste for Italian food right now lol.

Sunday we are supposed to get sleet and snow. It has turned back cold here the past few days. Eveyone has a cold because it was in the 60's for several days straight. I was kinda glad it cooled back down some. It wouldnt take many of those warm days to make the fruit trees bloom.
