What's for dinner?

Tonight we are going on a double date with a couple we are friends with. We are going to the Bar of Modern Art for dinner and a show. Can’t wait!

I won’t be making dinner tomorrow either because DH wants to go to a model train expo in Cleveland. He REALLY wants to build a big train landscape and everything. What he wants is to make a track for the train to run around the whole living room but I can’t stand it! I won’t have a model train running around the living room! He won’t let me have flower patterns on anything anywhere in the house so I think I’m perfectly with in my rights to say NO TRAIN! I told him he is more than welcome to build it in the basement where no one else can see it.

I made a roasted chicken that I stuffed with some elephant garlic a friend gave me. Seasoned it up well inside and out and roasted to a golden brown. I made the cheddar garlic biscuits and dark chocolate cupcakes with buttercream frosting.

I made Orange-Roughy Fish. with margarine and lemon, with dill, garlic powder, a dash of salt. side dish were mixed veggies and parmesan couscous. this is for Sunday's night-dinner.

Tonight's dinner was angel-hair pasta with a light cream sauce, turkey sausage, garlic bread. We had cookies for desert SNICKERDOODLES. :D
Cookie :)

I've been bad all week w/ way to many meals of rare beef, pork ribs, pasta and sweets. So tonight, instead of the pesto pizza I had planned, I made a healthy meal of salmon, tomatoes, broccoli, blueberries (atop a spinach salad) and a whole-wheat/oatmeal cloverleaf roll. YUM!

After tonight, I'm off work for a week of vacation, and since I don't have the internet at home anymore, I'll miss Spice Place for a week! My friend Sallie will be visiting from Alaska, so I'll be having fun entertaining her...

I'll miss you all... see you in about a week! smiles- k.

I made the Lime, Honey and garlic Chicken recipe on the barbecue last night. The only thing I did different was to slice the chicken breast into cutlets. It was so good. I have tried a recipe like this before using a vinaigrette but really enjoyed the sweetness of the honey and lime.

Miss you Kevin!

I am simmering chicken broth overnight in my crockpot. Tomorrow Im making myself some chicken soup. I plan to make Jon pizza with sweet italian sausage, mushrooms, olives, pepper rings, green pepper, parm and lots of mozerella. A family friend who is from Thailand called today and had us come and get some of her eggrolls. She makes yummy eggrolls. If I ever get brave I want to take her some of my eggrolls when I make them to see what she thinks. Im not sure if she would like mine because Jon and I both like them hot. I put shrachi sauce in mine. She makes hers with a lot more cabbage than meat and I use more meat or shrimp than veggies.

I have seen very few Thai recipes that don't call for them hot chilies. I am thinking that most people from Thailand love spicy food. I may be wrong for making a racial assumption, lol.

You are certainly not wrong. I've been to Thailand and they love their spicy food. Luckily for me so do I. They can't make it too spicy for me. Delicious!

She gives me a bunch of those evil chilies every summer. I have some of them dried in the freezer right now. Jon loves them in Japanese chicken wings. They are way to hot for me.

I bought some spices today... Soul Seasoning in the ingredient's it had Turmeric, Garlic, Onion. I also bought some Parsley Flakes.

I made jambalaya today with turkey sausage. It was Good!
