Potato or split pea. Both are fine with me. Course I also love stew and Texas chili. I may make some today. The weather is cold, hot soup sure sounds great. CF:) Oh, don't forget the cornbread, or some fresh baked wheat bread.

I'm thinking chili for tonight, as well.

It snowed last night and now it's 45
degrees and raining.

I got some fresh cornmeal and corn
bread sound like the deal, too. May
do muffins this time.

I'm doing Chili for today myself JW. I love chili on cold or dreary days topped with a little sour cream and maybe some green onions chopped up. It makes for a quick reheat meal in the evening when I only have a little time when I'm on the later shift.

Chili is always better after a day or two, but then
you knew that. Her chili of the other day messed me
up and am taking a break from it for awhile. I'm
jonesing for clam chowder or a ciopinno.

just mouthwatering. Thanks for sharing the photo. The old adage... "a picture is worth a thousand words" has its place here. Beautiful

My second favorite is Chesapeake Bay Cream of Crab Soup. Oh yum. Like it so thick with lump crabmeat that you could walk across it.
