What did you have for dinner last night?

We enjoy eating out. We don't find many coupons, though. Have any clue where I could check?

Tonight I think we will be having BBQ ribs, mashed potatoes, mac & cheese, corn. Maybe some cornbread as well. lol ( we do like our starches. The kids love mac & cheese)

you can check newspapers, the back pages of phone books, city directory type books, and online. Our favorite is Qdoba and I found a BOGO coupon online that doesn't have an expiration date, so I just print one before we go each time.

We had crab cakes, from Mama Mangia's recipe, baked potatoes with sour cream, and salad for supper last night. It was delicious, and no leftovers.

I had cheese ravioli with spinach in marinara sauce, and cheese bread. And a terrific salad.

We had a roasted honey chicken that turned out great. I started with a nice size roasting chicken and sprinkled a generous amount of Durkee's Chicken and Rib Rub on all sides of the chicken. I then covered the top of the chicken with honey. I slowed cooked the chicken in our coal stove for about 3 hours. As soon as I removed the baked chicken from the oven I brushed more honey on the top of the roasted chicken. It was the tastiest and juiciest chicken I have ever made.

We had homemade chicken noodle soup from leftover chicken from Friday night. Just added chicken, potatoes, carrots, celery, and egg noodles. It was really good. The kids even asked for seconds.

We took some left over roast, from New Year's Day dinner, with the carrots and potatoes and made beef stew last night. With homemade cornbread.

I had a bunch of carrots and celery that were going to go bad if I didn't use them soon, so I chopped them up along with some chicken and made a soup. Right before hubby got home I tossed in some rice and green onion and made a pan of cornbread.

I'm not a big soup person and don't usually just toss stuff into the crockpot with no real plan, but this turned out pretty darn good. Hubby liked it so much he took the leftovers to work today.

I had Arby's for dinner last night. My hubby's been out of town for a while & he brought me home some dinner when he came home last night. Isn't that sweet?! :)

I have no idea what he made. I ate it. It was good. The name of it? No clue. lol

It was pork, potatoes and pasta with a pork sauce and spices. It was good, what ever it was. lol

We had chili made with French's Chili-O tonight and served the chili like spaghetti along with pasta, fresh chopped onion, and chedder cheese. A local restaurant serves a chili like this and calls in 4 way. We also serve this with freshly made and buttered corn bread. Since the Chili-O is made with beans, this is a well rounded meal in one with tomatoes, beans, carbs, and protein. We only use the leanest ground beef or lean ground turkey when we make chili. The best part is how easy it is to make. It's only about 30 minutes from thinking about it until eating. Can't be much better.

I ended up tossing together some spaghetti last night. Hubby hasn't been feeling good (he better NOT have the flu), so I didn't want to spend a lot of time cooking when I could've been the only one eating.

We ended up eating at McDonalds last night. They are a weakness of mine.

I love their Filet of Fish.

hubby still doesn't feel good and everything he smells he says it smells like it's gone bad anyways....so, the terrible wife I am, made hamburger helper. I mean, he can't smell it and it doesn't taste good anyways, might as well make something he wouldn't enjoy all that much if he could taste, right?

Jack liked it though - he had lots of fun making lots of mess with it! He went STRAIGHT to the bathtub when dinner was over. :p

I had Augrotin (spelled?) potatoes last night. They were pretty good. It was just something quick & easy to make.

We recently went to our local Sam's Club and bought a few (dozen) corn tortilla's so last night I made chicken soft tacos with the corn tortillas. I browned some cut chicken strips. While the chicken was browning I finely chopped some lettuce and onion and grated some sharp cheddar cheese. Place several tortillas on a paper plate then place a paper towel on top and then another layer of tortillas with a paper towel on top. Place in the microwave for about 45 seconds just to heat them and make them for pliable. To make the chicken soft tacos place a tortilla on the plate and add some chicken top with lettuce, onion, cheddar cheese, and salsa. You can modify this and add your favorite toppings. Fold in half to eat making sure to have lots of napkins handy.

We had fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy last night.
This is something ALL the kids eat. lol

tacos - tacos - tacos! I have lots of leftovers, so I think we're going to be having tacos and nachos a lot in the upcoming days. :)

I'm such a creature of habit. We had mexican pizza again last night. But in my defense, I'm trying to use up the leftover taco meat. :)

Ran across a deli that had outstanding baked potatoes last night. One for each of us (wife, myself, 2 daughters), and it was a FULL meal. Brocolli for the littlest (no cheese or sour cream -- does not like cheese -- imagine that), and brocolli, cheese, cheddar soup, sour cream the rest of us. Very nice, and we will be making the trip back in the future!
